The following photos were found in antique shop in Logan, Utah in January 2020. The one of the little boy seemed to a series of his growing up. A well-loved grown into a fine young. If anyone can identify who he is, please do, as well as anything else about these pictures.
“Marvin & Louise Thompson To Odell”“Miss Mary Benisch”“about 4 weeks”The Summer of 1930 he was 5 years old.Mormon Tabernacle ChoirBette & GerryAny idea? It was with the Thompson Family.Included with the Thompson Family. Any ideas?Who was this person on the right? Obviously someone very dear to the family.Who was this little sweety? The look in those eyes makes me want to reach into the depths of time and make everything better.Who was this handsome young man? Who did he grow to become? Notice the fine suit he is wearing? The dignity in this gentleman evokes a thousand questions. The trim on his suit was obviously hand-sewn. What was the meaning of the clip in the upper breast buttonhole? Two sisters, perhaps? Who made their outfits? Such delicate craftmanship. What was the occasion of this photo? The stoicness of the boy on the left. The rigidity of the lady on the far right as opposed to the older lady on the left. The indifference of the man. Was it culture that prevented them from smiling or was it something else? The sweet little girl in front with her revered doll. The look in her eyes…. This looks as if a train is plowing through the water. Any thoughts?Look closely to the right side of the photo. Notice the men near the tracks? I would think this picture was taken from the back of a moving train. Not sure who these little guys are. They were mingled in with the Thompson pictures. This fine looking gentleman is wearing a tie as if he was dressed for the theatre. I wonder what his story is. See the light in his eyes. Was he a musician? The kindness in his eyes alludes to the idea that he may have been a gentle soul with a family, perhaps. The metal frame indicates that this might have been was taken prior to the 1920’s. Any ideas? The sereness of this child while having her photograph taken is evident in her eyes and her hands. Notice the bottom of the backdrop where it meets the carpet. What was this child holding? Were her parents well enough off that they could afford a photograph on a metal plate? Pat (Thompson Maris), ?, Bud (Emerson Lewis) MarisPossibly friends of John Elmore Phelps taken in Alaska according to Lula Mae Marker Phelps Cooper. I love this photo!
