Take the time to read the Western stories at the end. I hope that they were published in a magazine somewhere because of how riveting they are.
The edition is dedication the 2023 Hillcrest Elementary School’s 5th grade class, specifically Savvy, Zane, Brittney, Tate, Gia, and Emily. As the enduring Maya Angelou was known for saying, “for still I rise”, so do you – and you will. She overcame great obstacles to become who she became. She was one of my favorite people and I tried to model my life after her. I needed her example to overcome mine. Your are destined to do wonderful and audacious miracles, as well, in your life no matter how long it takes. I believe in you. Ms Kelli
